Are you a compassionate and skilled Paediatric Nurse looking to take the next step in your emergency care career? York Hospital Paediatric Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive Emergency Department team.
You will provide high-quality, family-centred care to children and young people presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions. Working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, you will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team delivering timely and effective treatment to our youngest patients.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered Nurse (Child) with current NMC registration
- Minimum 1 year experience in paediatric emergency or acute care
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A passion for paediatric care and continuous professional development

Main duties of the job
- Delivering high quality patient centred care in a timely manner, triaging patients and assessing the priority of their clinical presentation
- Providing emergency care and treatment to patients requiring resuscitation
- To work alongside the wider team to always ensure efficient patient flow
- To work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team
- To be professionally accountable for all actions during working shift.
- To be aware of and engage fully with own training and developmental needs within the clinical environment
- To supervise student nurses and healthcare assistant nurses in the giving of patient care.
- To be fully aware and comply with Trust policies and procedures
