Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Mid Notts Place Based Partnership (PBP) Swabbing Team, based at Ashfield Health Village. This is a full-time secondment/fixed term contract until the 30th June 2023; part time will be considered for suitable candidates.

The Swabbing Team are contracted to provide a supportive swabbing service across Nottinghamshire in a variety of settings (including care homes and vulnerable patient’s own homes) to manage Covid-19 outbreaks. The Team will also deliver training sessions with regards to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The post holder will be the Clinical Lead and have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the Swabbing Team.  The post holder must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other health and social care teams.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake the clinical leadership of the PBP Swabbing Team
  • Work closely with the Business Manager to ensure that quality, safety and assurance measures are in place and reported
  • Develop the PBP Swabbing Service in collaboration with the Deputy Head of EOLC Together & the Business Manager
  • Act as a clinical role model
  • Provide day to day line management and development of the PBP Swabbing Team

  • Educated to Masters level (or working towards) or equivalent demonstrable experience and learning within a specialist area
