Lead Midwife for Women Centred Care

Band 7

Passionate and proud to be a Midwife? Have the leadership skills and enthusiasm to develop our service through clinical practice? We are recruiting Labour Suite Coordinators at the Queens Campus of NUH to cover maternity leave, one year fixed contract (secondment considered), full and part time hours available.

The opportunity to gain excellent experience as a senior midwife is available at Nottingham University Hospitals where we provide care for over 9,500 women each year. Each site offers a wide range of experience for Midwives as we continue to nurture and grow our service. The launch of our Sanctuary Birth Centre on each campus and the introduction of our induction day unit later this year, under pins our ethos of women centred care and provides midwives with a variety of experiences.

We have vacancies within our senior team and are looking for experienced midwives who are interested in leading our intrapartum care service. We do not request a length of service but an application that demonstrates leadership experience, continual professional development post registration, competent in water birth, suturing and administration of IV drugs. Applicants must be confident working on a Labour Suite and also managing a team.

Post holders will be expected to work the full pattern of days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, reflected in a 12 hour shift pattern. full time, part time and flexible working patterns will be considered.
