Safeguarding Specialist Midwife

We are looking for a Registered Midwife who is enthusiastic and experienced in Safeguarding unborn babies and children, to join the Safeguarding Midwifery Team at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust.
Flexibility will be required to work across the adults, children’s and midwifery safeguarding teams where required.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Midwife who relishes the challenge of promoting and ensuring the protection and safety of babies and children. The successful applicant will need to display excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and self-organised. The applicant will need to have experience with child protection.
The post holder will work as a member of the Midwifery Safeguarding team to support the delivery of services to staff involved in the safeguarding of unborn/babies and children, including supporting liaison between hospital and community services.
The post holder will work in conjunction with the Trust wide Safeguarding Team to deliver a high quality service of safeguarding expertise to the Trust. They will provide professional advice, support and education to the multi-professional team, patient and carers and ensure that the Trust meets statutory safeguarding requirements.'

- Minimum 2 years working clinically post qualification.

- Able to use standard computer systems, including teaching and training aids e.g. PowerPoint.
- Physical effort utilised when engaged in training activities and the associated equipment e.g. lifting and transporting training materials.
