Anaesthetic  Practitioner opportunities at Nottingham University Hospitals

Are you a registered Nurse with an anaesthetic qualification or an  Operating Department Practitioner with acute experience in the NHS?

Or,

Are you a newly qualifying Nurse with an anaesthetic qualification or Operating Department Practitioner who will be completing study in the next 6 months? 

If so, we are recruiting Theatre Practitioners with acute NHS experience across both our City and QMC Campuses.

You will be joining a pro-active, dynamic team of nurses and ODP’s who offer the best standards of perioperative care. Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning, and being forward thinking.

Please note, that due to ongoing service developments the post holder may be required cross site at our other Theatre Complex with the agreement of the Speciality Team Leader.

Must have theatre experience.

Expectations to deliver a high standard of service with patient safety and quality are a priority. You should be able to demonstrate effective team working and work to the highest standards of evidence based practice.

We practice multi-skilling and are looking to recruit a dynamic Practitioner who wishes to develop their practice in either anaesthetic and/or surgical scrub support. 

You will have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Physical Skills

  • Physically able to perform the full range of personal care and clinical nursing duties
  • Ability to undertake manual handling duties within clinical and non-clinical settings including patient load, lateral transfer, log rolling, patient positioning for theatre
  • Ability to wear PPE such as surgical facemask, lead aprons, and laser goggles
