We are seeking to recruit a Band 5 RGN to join our fantastic multi-disciplinary teams within the hospital. The Primary Healthcare service at Wathwood Hospital coordinates, supports and delivers physical healthcare to all patients across the Hospital. 

The services provided are in line with direction and guidance from the Department of Health and NICE.  These include full health reviews – including asthma and diabetes, a visiting GP and Practice Nurse, Podiatry, Optician, Dental, Physiotherapy, healthy lifestyles, smoking cessation, sexual health and liaison with other wider specialist services

Patients are encouraged to work with the Primary Healthcare team to learn about their physical health and wellbeing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated nurse with General Health experience to join our team, in a challenging but rewarding role, to make a difference to the lives of our patients.

Therefore, applicants will need to:

·         The ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

·         Be committed to providing the highest standards of care

·         Promote and maintain high standards of care through excellent communication, motivation, supervision and role modelling

We want to help our staff reach their full potential and are committed to providing the support, skills and development needed to success.  This includes a supportive and strong health and well-being team. 

The PHC suite is currently open Monday to Friday 9-5 with a view to expending opening times to evening and weekends.  You must be an RGN or completing a qualification in general nursing and be registered with the NMC.  An interest of working in Mental Health is essential and combining your RGN qualification with an understand and compassion for mental health would be required. Flexible working and part-time working are available.

You will be required to complete mandatory training to assist your professional development.
