An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, forward-thinking Cardiology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our well-established Chest Pain Specialist Nurse Team. This is a chance to become part of a highly respected and dynamic service that plays a pivotal role in improving patient care and outcomes across our Trust.
As a key member of our growing team of three specialist nurses, you will have the opportunity to shape, influence, and expand the future of our Chest Pain pathway. This is an excellent role for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, and ready to take the next step in their cardiology career.

This is a full-time position, typically worked over four days with one non-working day per week—the specific day can be negotiated to support work–life balance.
Main duties of the job
You will work across both Kings Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital, supporting the delivery of high-quality cardiology services. In this role, you will:

Manage your own caseload with confidence and professionalism

Provide expert assessment and management for patients presenting with chest pain

Work closely with the wider cardiology MDT to ensure seamless and effective care
You’ll thrive in this role if you:

Have senior-level experience within a Cardiology setting

Are confident in autonomous clinical decision-making

Hold ALS certification

Are committed to continuous learning and service improvement

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC Level One Registered Nurse.
- BSc in Nursing
- ENB 998 or equivalent teaching course.
- Evidence of post-basic specialist education
- Educated to Masters level (or working towards) or equivalent demonstrable experience and learning within a specialist area
- Non-medical prescribing (or willingness to undertake)
