Bank Staff Nurse

Band 5

I’m delighted that you’re thinking about joining the team here at Yeovil Hospital, recently rated the best Trust in the NHS for staff health and wellbeing.

Working in the NHS is both challenging and rewarding. That’s why we’re committed to giving our staff the best possible balance between a stimulating career and a relaxing personal life, enabling you to make the most of our picturesque surroundings and arrive at work energised each day.

Looking after you helps you look after our patients, and enables us to achieve some of the best performance in the NHS. For instance, we are regularly one of the top-three hospitals in England for emergency care, and we have a global reputation for research and development, and innovative partnerships with primary care.

If this is your first role in the NHS, we’ll show you why we’re one of the most respected healthcare systems in the world. And if you’re joining us from another Trust, we’ll remind you why you wanted to work in healthcare in the first place.

I look forward to working with you

Jonathan

Jonathan Higman, Chief Executive

Would you like the flexibility of working hours that fit in with your personal circumstances?

We are currently looking to recruit Registered Nurses with exceptional professional skills, a passion for high quality patient care and a keen focus on positive patient experience to join our nurse bank. You will be required to assess, plan and deliver a high standard of nursing care while responding to individual needs. You will demonstrate good clinical practice at all times, promote a good working ethos, and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

You too can make a difference and play your part in delivering NHS England’s five year plan. You can work for one of only 29 Vanguard hospitals. You can be proud to work in an award winning nursing team and you can feel secure knowing the hospital you work for recently received £4.9M to support phase one of its new models of care plan.

We’re radically redesigning how we provide care. We’re embracing technology to improve our services and patient safety. We’re implementing Electronic Health Records and we think big, we are helping to define the future of healthcare in the UK.

Patient safety and experience is also important to us. We won the Nursing Times Patient Safety Award 2014 and were finalists in the Nursing Standard Enhancing the Patient Experience 2015. We also value our staff and have repeatedly been rated as one of the Top 10 healthcare employers in the country.

If you feel you could make a difference in our organisation and want to be part of our friendly and enthusiastic nursing teams, we would like to hear from you. Please use the additional information section of the application form to indicate your preferred area of choice.
