A vacancy has arisen for a band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist / Gynaecological Oncology who is dynamic, innovative and forward thinking, with the drive and motivation to influence the future development of the Gynaecology Oncology Services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse who wishes to further develop their managerial and leadership skills with a view to providing direction that supports the current and future needs of the Gynaecology Oncology Services. We will support the successful candidate through a personal development plan tailored to the responsibilities within the job role and any future career aspirations.

In addition you should have excellent communication and organisational skills, be reliable and have a flexible approach to your work. You should possess the ability to work well under pressure and be able to demonstrate initiative and an understanding of clinical risk management and clinical governance.

The post-holder will be expected to have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience to include 1 year of working in the specialty field; possessing relevant clinical and leadership experience.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
