The University Hospital of North Midlands is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join our Acute Medicine team based within the Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit (AEC) Royal Stoke Hospital site.
The AEC provides care for acute patients requiring assessment of their medical needs direct from the Emergency Department, GP, outpatient clinics and other external partners. The department provides high quality, same day assessments for patients leading to same day diagnosis and treatment that aids discharge home the same day.
This is a very exciting opportunity for someone with a high level of experience who is looking to work in a dynamic, forward thinking Directorate and team. As a ANP you will work alongside our existing team of ANP's in ensuring cover is provided over a 7 day service, working in and out of hours to accommodate service needs. At present the AEC is open 7 days per week from 7.30am until 23:00 hrs.
The successful applicant will have relevant training and clinical experience working as a practitioner with skills in health assessment, prescribing and investigation analysis. You will have leadership experience, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to evidence your continuing professional development. We are looking for a committed team player who has high standards and is passionate about improving the patient experience. The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative, plan and deliver projects and act as a mentor/provide training to other staff . In return we will support consultant mentorship within the clinical specialty of Acute Medicine.
