An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated nurse to join the team and play a major part in continuing to develop the Specialist Regional Headache Service at UHNM.
If you are a Dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic individual with the skills and passion to provide care to patients with headaches, then you will be a great asset to our Regional headache team.
You will need to be committed to improving patient care and as such have the ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative and possess advanced communication and strong organisational skills. The post will predominantly support the delivery of outpatient based care, extensive knowledge and experience of the specialist treatment is required.
With the expansion of our service, a proportion of the work will be to deliver CGRP monoclonal antibodies, practical treatments such as Botox and Occipital nerve blocks for Chronic migraine and Cluster headache and deliver general headache clinics.
Main duties of the job
A bespoke education and training programme will be provided to ensure you have the required level of competence to undertake the specialist procedures in line with treatment protocols.
You will be joining an existing team of Consultants and Clinical Nurse Specialists and will need to be able to practice autonomously in both the outpatient and inpatient environment, undertaking nurse led clinics and aiding in the development of education.

- Degree in Nursing / Health related studies relevant to the speciality
- Evidence of Masters level study
- Excellent knowledge of the specialty
- Evidence of excellent communication skills
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
