Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Staff Nurse on the Paediatric Surgical and Oncology Ward at Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke. 
The role is for a Paediatric trained nurse to work in a predominantly surgical ward setting. There is a 7 bedded day case unit and a 21 bedded ward.

Main duties of the job

To admit and care for children going to theatre for day case procedures as well as ward patient going for more complex surgery. We cover a wide range of surgical specialities including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, ENT and Ophthalmology along with also caring for Oncology patients and medical patients covering a wide range of conditions and illnesses, 
The role would involve planning and implementing care on a variety of patients and using various equipment, working closely with children and young people from 0-18 years of age.
