Clinical Support Worker

Band 2

Job overview

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Worker to provide an active role and assistance to the Paediatric Service. The role will be based at Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke within our Paediatric Wards.

If you would like more information on this role you can contact Paula Blurton - Ward Sister

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Support Worker will be expected to take an active role, assisting the team, labelling and sending off specimens, assisting with transporting patients to the ward and with patient care.

The role of the Clinical Support Worker post is flexible, and the post holder will, therefore, be required to provide support over a wide range of service/functions. Key to this flexibility is the requirement for staff to work variable hours on a week-by-week basis within agreed limits.

The nursing assistant will be required to take height and weight measurements for children and young people as well as preparing and cleaning up our ward areas for new patients being admitted.
