Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) Clinical Nurse Specialist Team at UHNM on a 12 month secondment. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse to provide clinical expertise in the prevention, early recognition and management of AKI across the organisation. This role is key to improving patient outcomes and embedding evidence-based AKI care across all clinical areas, 

Main duties of the job

  • Be an expert in their field and work across the trust to improve the care and management of patients with AKI
  • Ensure appropriate investigations are requested 
  • Devise patient management plans on investigation results 
  • Participate in the development of the service , facilitating innovation and evidence based practice to improve patient care
  • Act as a professional and credible role model 
  • Lead with innovation and evidence based care
  • Work to national Standards
