Senior Clinical Support Worker

Band 3

Job overview

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.

Important information for applicants: To ensure clarity of accountability, scope of practice and professional responsibilities, the Trust does not normally appoint individuals holding active NMC or HCPC registration into Band 2 Clinical/AHP Support Worker, Band 3 Senior Clinical/AHP Support Worker or Band 4 AHP Support Worker/Technician roles. Registered nurses and Allied Health Professionals interested in joining UHNM are encouraged to explore our registered professional opportunities, which are advertised regularly across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Support workers to join our dynamic and friendly teams and provide safe and supportive care to patients, relatives and their loved ones. In this post you would be responsible for providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the qualified nursing team to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dignified and respectful care, in accordance with their care plans.  We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.

The successful applicants will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital. As provision of care is in an outpatient setting,  you will be required to 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).
