Our Emergency Department at Frimley Park Hospital is committed to delivering the highest professional standards and exceptional patient care. Each year, the department treats over 100,000 patients across its dedicated paediatric, adult, and minor injuries units.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team of emergency nursing and medical professionals.
We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced healthcare professionals to take on managerial roles within the department. Successful candidates will play a key role in leading and managing the delivery of high-quality emergency care, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred services.

Main duties of the job
To ensure quality service is delivered when taking charge of the department and providing a supportive role to other units within the department.
To participate in the management of the unit and offer support to the department matron.
To maintain effective liaison with other disciplines in all matters of patient care delivery. Providing advice within own clinical sphere of nursing.
Perform extended clinical skills, including plastering, suturing, defibrillation, intravenous cannulation, phlebotomy, and administration of intravenous therapy.
Be fully conversant with the Major Disaster Plan, including the Chemical Decontamination Policy, and assist the Unit Manager in its implementation during emergencies.
To assume responsibility for own professional development and growth producing evidence at appraisal to meet key performance standard recommendations.

- Registered general nurse, current NMC Registration
- To hold recognised resuscitation course at ALS level
- Recognised teaching and assessment course (Mentor preceptorship course)

- Competent in time management and efficient in prioritising workload effectively
