This unique position offers you the opportunity to support with ongoing development and improvement of the adult community nursing service in Guildford and Waverley to ensure the delivery of a safe and high-quality community nursing service. The post holder will support to implement a culture of shared and continuous learning and improved outcomes. The post holder will assist in assurance that the Community Nursing Service are compliant with statutory and mandatory training as well as wider clinical skills relevant to roles and service. We use electronic clinical records through EMIS and a work IPad and IPhone will be provided.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Registered Nurse to join the wider Community Nursing Team which includes Community Matrons, District Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates and Healthcare Assistants.
The post holder will ensure a high quality, safe, efficient, and clinically effective locality based adult community nursing service that meets the needs of patients and carers. To provide highly visible clinical and professional skills within the community nursing service. To support the community nursing service to develop and maintain specialist skills relevant to their role to provide a safe and high-quality Community Nursing service, maintain evidence and assurance of this at service and individual level. To support the completion and assurance the Community Nursing service are compliant with statutory and mandatory training.
Post holders will be available to work Monday to Sunday between 8am and 8pm. A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use if required for this post, however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• To ensure a high quality, safe, efficient, and clinically effective locality based adult community nursing service that meets the needs of patients and carers.

• To work in a clinical environment 80% of the week, flexible depending on demands
• To work with all staff, including but not limited to Pre-registration student Nurses and SPQ-DN students to assist in their development.
Person specification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Registered Level 1 Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration
- Evidence of level 7 study, or equivalent experience
- Recent and relevant community nursing related qualification and experience
- Completed physical/health assessment module at Level 7
- Assessor / NMC Supervisor / Mentorship
- Extensive experience in adult community nursing
- Experience of teaching and ability to give presentations to groups
