Job overview

We are seeking a dynamic Specialist Senior RMN with NMC Registration who is additionally a BABCP Accredited Practitioner to join our Trust-wide Adult Eating Disorders Service (AEDS).

The post is substantive (0.6 WTE) and the successful applicant will be flexibly based across our service hubs at Farnham Road Hospital, Guildford and / or Loughta House, Epsom.

Prior experience of working with adults with moderate to severe eating disorder presentations is essential.

The post holder will be joining what are well-established outpatient and day care facilities for working age adults with more severe eating disorder presentations. They will be joining a warm and welcoming team with a passion for the delivery of high quality care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to deliver high quality CBT for outpatients. They will also be required to hold a caseload and to contribute to the work of the wider MDT, including the completion of initial assessments, physical health monitoring and Care Coordination responsibilities. While most of the work will be undertaken within outpatients, the successful applicant will on occasion be asked to provide cover for the day care CBT group.  

All duties will be undertaken with regular supervision in line with the successful applicant’s professional registration and accreditation requirements.

This role will require you to travel between multiple sites within your working day.

Qualifications

RMN qualification to degree level or equivalent

NMC Registration as RN3 or RNMH

BABCP Practitioner Accreditation

Experience

  • Significant post registration experience of working with adults with moderate to severe eating disorders
  • Significant experience of providing evidence-based CBT for people presenting with a variety of mental health problems, including eating disorders
