Job overview
An exciting opportunity for career development and to further improve local chemotherapy services has arisen for an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse who is keen to meet the challenge of developing and improving timeliness and access to our local chemotherapy services.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Chemotherapy Nurse who can drive forward the Trust’s vision and values within an existing team and ensure safe high quality care for patients within our care.
Job Summary
- To undertake a lead role in the assessment and delivery of professional, effective nursing care to chemotherapy patients ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers while on the ward/unit;
- To support the Ward Manager/Senior Chemotherapy Sister to develop a ‘values based’ team culture through role modelling leadership, professionalism and demonstrating pride in job role and own achievements within the role and to enable others to achieve same;
- To act as an excellent clinical role model and team leader to all staff; and
You will need to be experienced, reliable and a flexible approach with a dynamic proactive leadership style. You will need sound up to date clinical skills.
Agreeable to applicants with no SACT course but as a band 5 training post until completion of SACT course
