Maternity Support Worker Lead

Job overview
The post holder will assist the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of high-quality, effective and compassionate family-centred maternity service; to ensure optimal care for women and babies and will work as part of the Maternity Improvement Team.
The post holder will lead and provide support and education to Maternity Support Workers, from initial recruitment to induction and ongoing development including support with education and training programs in both the hospital and community setting.
They will role model high standards of clinical practice and leadership, ensuring that maternity support workers provide a high standard of practice based on current guidelines, policies, standards and national competencies. Working as part of the wider education team they will assist in the implementation of new guidelines, policies, and improvement initiatives in all areas of maternity.
