Acute Medicine services are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for registered nurses within Victoria ward.
This is a 33 bedded General Medicine/Short stay/Frailty ward which provides safe, compassionate and comprehensive care for acute patients using an integrated team approach.
Our service includes various areas such as Acute Medicine Unit, SDEC and GE@H/Virtual ward.
We have a comprehensive developmental plan for all of our staff which are able to rotate to develop themselves further with enhanced knowledge and skills.
Acute Medicine is ever expanding rapidly with new initiatives to ensure we deliver excellent patient care, and experience to all of our patients.
We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate registered nurses to join our team!
We have many resources to support your development with a vast amount of support by working alongside our growing multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of
nursing care for a specified group of patients as delegated by senior nursing
staff, involving patients and carers where appropriate.
Acts as a team leader, delegating appropriate tasks and supervising the
standard of care delivered by unqualified staff and learner nurses in the ward
team.

Clinical
Deliver a high standard of nursing care without direct supervision, based
upon a sound evidence base.
Undertakes and documents a comprehensive, systematic and accurate
nursing assessment of the physical, social and spiritual needs of the
patient where appropriate.
Creates and utilizes opportunities to promote health and well-being of
patients in their care.
Manage a group of patients throughout a shift as delegated by nurse
in charge.
Working within the N.M.C Guidelines and Trust Policies recognising
one’s own abilities and limitation

- Undertaken wide experience during training
- Able to demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills and expertise
