Band 5

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of the top performing organisations within the NHS. Our staff think this is a great place to work and we hope you will agree. We have recently been rated as 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following our recent inspection.

We provide services across Warwickshire and beyond ranging from Hospitals in Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa and Shipston-on Stour to Community Services across the whole county. We are a progressive, expanding organisation with great ambition around improving quality, integrating pathways and delivering high levels of productivity. Over 4500 people work for the Trust and many of them have been here a long time. People find they don’t need to go elsewhere to find a fulfilling career in healthcare.

The first thing you will notice about us is how we take our values seriously. We believe that our values underpin everything we do. If you are interested in a role with us you need to make sure our values match your own.

Our values can be summed up in one sentence. We are ‘Trusted to provide safe, effective and compassionate care’. Throughout the recruitment process you will be asked to think about how you demonstrate these values and how they impact on your work. It doesn’t matter what role you do, whether it is patient facing or not, we are all working in the same way with our values at the core.

Community Nursing - South Warwickshire Area

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Community Nurses to work within our community teams based in South Warwickshire. This includes Stratford, Shipston, Warwick, Leamington, Kenilworth, Alcester and other surrounding areas.

As a county we are proud of the services our community teams provide. They are developing ground breaking new services designed to help patients better manage their own conditions, stay out of hospital and use the latest systems and technology to provide the most efficient and effective health care possible. We have grown considerably in our community teams over the past few years and we need excellent people to continue our journey of innovation and development.

Lots of our patients have long term conditions and complex health needs. Working with us you could gain skills in a number of areas ranging from wound care management, catheter care, rehabilitation, IV therapies and end of life care.

The service operates from 8.00am until midnight. Applicants will also be expected to work weekends and Bank holidays on a rota basis.

To be successful in our community teams you will need to be able to demonstrate how your excellent clinical skills are delivered through behaviour which meets our core values.

Ideally you will have experience of working in a community setting however, if you don’t have this experience but really want to work in the community we still want to hear from you.

Working in the community means you need to be flexible and able to travel.
