There are 2 full time vacancies available
As a B6 Mental Health Practitioner, you will hold a professional qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or any other discipline that is registered by a recognised regulatory body.
You will work as part of a CAMHS multidisciplinary community team, providing assessment and treatment to children experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.
You will be expected to contribute to the formulation and care planning for children and families and take the lead for cases that require complex multi-agency involvement.
This post offers the Trust's £2,000 Golden Hello or Relocation Incentive for Band 6 Nurses & Practitioners, (pro rata and subject to terms and conditions; please see attached Protocol Document for full details).
Main duties of the job
This is a key and fast paced role in a busy community CAMHS team. The post holder will be required to undertake initial assessments for children and young people referred into the service, ensuring safeguarding, risk management and care planning are implemented to the highest standard, and at all times that the service offers effective patient-centred care.
You will be expected to hold a diverse case load of young people with complex emotional needs which requires significant attention to detail particularly around risk management in the community, thus co-ordinating and working with external agencies such as social care and education etc. You will have the opportunity to co-facilitate groups and treatment alongside multidisciplinary team colleagues to offer evidenced based care.

- Registered Professional Qualification
- NMC, HPC or Social Work England Registration
- Post Basic Courses / Study Days
- Evidence of CPD and professional portfolio
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- post qualification experience
- Experience of working with people with mental Health problems
- Understanding and contribution to the Clinical Governance Agenda.
- Previous experience in similar role
- Risk assessment experience
