Mental Health Nurse (RNM/RNLD)

Band 5

We are committed to providing high quality care for the people of Bradford, Airedale and Craven. Are You?

As a provider of care for people of all ages who have mental and/or community health needs we are dedicated to providing a high-quality service, close to where people live and as much as possible tailored to an individual’s needs.

Moorlands View is an in-patient unit for men with mental health problems who require management under conditions of low security.

There are three wards in the unit,  Thornton Ward which provides initial assessment, Baildon Ward which is a slower stream rehabilitation ward, and Ilkley Ward where service users are proceeding towards discharge.

We are recruiting Band 5 Staff Nurses for all three wards, and you would be expected to rotate between and gain experience of working on all of them.

All wards are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) including dedicated Psychology and Occupational therapy staff, Consultant Psychiatrist and local GP. As a Staff Nurse on our ward you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to patients and will hold delegated responsibility for management of the ward on a shift basis including supervision of support staff.

You will be joining a Trust that offers a wide range of staff benefits to support your health and wellbeing, to suit your needs such as fast track access to physiotherapy, counselling, access to our Wellbeing Zone and childcare support services.

We also offer award-winning leadership and personal development programmes to support you. To find out more about our Trust please visit our website. Staff are required to work across all ward areas of the service to support the patient pathway. The Trust has a Staff Bank where staff can work additional hours across all Trust services.
