Job overview

Are you a motivated individual with an interested in haematology and oncology and would like to join the team on Pembroke ward ?

We are a 10 bedded ward and we care for patients with a wide range of solid tumour and haematology disorders and patients who are undergoing stem cell transplants,

We also administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment and supportive therapies.

Main duties of the job

The applicant will be working to support the existing team in the safe delivery of holistic care to a wide range of cancer patients undergoing treatments.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with an enthusiasm to care for oncology/haematology patients .

The applicant should have excellent communication skills and be interested in undertaking training for venepuncture and cannulation and care of central venous access devices if not previously undertaken.

The successful candidate will be flexible to meet the increasingly complex needs of the service and be able to work effectively within a small team.
