We are looking for health care support workers / assistants who are passionate about working with children and young people . The ideal candidate will be a keen team player with experience working with children in a hospital environment .

The position will involve working as part of our multidisciplinary team on our vibrant children's unit at Salisbury Hospital ensuring the delivery of high standards of care to young patients and their families. Our children's unit consists of Sarum Ward and  Woodlands Day Assessment unit, all designed to create a bright and welcoming environment for children and young people. The ward has 16 in patient beds for children aged 0 - 16 years of age , providing specialised care for a range of specialities including general paediatrics , orthopaedics , ENT and general surgery. 

 Working as a health care support worker / assistant you will always work under the direct or indirect  supervision  of a registered nurse providing compassionate care to children and their families . Responsibilities within this role include basic clinical observations reporting any concerns to a trained nurse , daily ward cleaning tasks and supporting children with nutrition and hygiene needs .
