An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Team as a Clinical Trials Practitioner based in the Research Department Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

Our Trust is one of the best performing small acute Trusts in the Country and supports a wide portfolio of Research across numerous specialities 

The post holder will play a crucial role in clinical research by supporting the recruitment , enrolment and management of participants in clinical trials and  will be responsible for the coordination and  day-to -day management of this.

We are looking for an experienced research practitioner with knowledge and experience of setting  up and running a portfolio of research , with the ability to work across a range of specialities , with knowledge of research procedures and methodologies.     

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for screening,  consenting and enrolling  participants into clinical trials in the hospital setting.,

They will  case manage a portfolio of clinical trials , working closely with the Principal Investigators and members of the multi-disciplinary team, to manage the portfolio of research across the trust, using their knowledge and expertise, whilst working to protocol requirements.

Research activities are a central part of the work and the post holder will ensure 100% of their time is dedicated to Trust research and ensure a responsibility for study set up , screening, recruitment and follow up assessments and safe care is maintained throughout the participants research journey related to the protocol, procedures and treatment.

Essential criteria
  • NMC ,Diploma or Degree level Qualification in Nursing/midwifery
  • 4 years post registration experience
  • Research experience at least 1 year
  • QCF/998 assessor / mentorship qualification
Desirable criteria
  • GCP (Good clinical practice) training. )
  • Mangament and leadership skills/qualifications
