The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2025/2026 and will be implemented in August 2025 with arrears backdated to 1st April 2025 where applicable. 

 

Job overview

Applications are invited from enthusiastic experienced SACT Nurses to join our dedicated acute oncology team.

The successful candidate will either be an advanced nurse practitioner or working towards becoming an advanced nurse practitioner.

Main duties of the job

Predominantly your role will be to care for patients who have received SACT in the last 6 weeks and has been admitted to the acute site due to symptoms and complications of their treatment.

You will also be required to be responsible for the co-ordination of care for patients who have a  cancer of unknown primary .

Above all we are looking for cancer nurses with passion and drive who are committed to maintaining and improving care for patients and their families who are undergoing SACT.

You should have significant oncology experience, and ideally a recognised Cancer qualification. Ideally the individual will also have experience in the administration of SACT as well as an interest in immunotherapy.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
