Job overview

Are you an experienced Senior Nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP) seeking your next career challenge?

If you are, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialised and autonomous practitioner to join the team at the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) as a trainee ACP.

In this development role - you will work towards successfully completing the Advanced Practitioner (AP) MSc (Level 7) programme in line with the Trust framework for advanced practice and their primary professional regulatory body.

Our UTC operates from a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility adjacent to our brand-new Emergency Department. With a single point of entry for all walk-in urgent and emergency patients, our model ensures that individuals are seen by the right team at the right time. Working closely with dedicated, GPs, nurses, and AHPs, the UTC provides care for a wide range of urgent but non-life threatening conditions.

Join us in shaping the future of urgent care delivery

Main duties of the job

  • You will undertake assessment and treatment of patients in the UTC who may present with complex and/or chronic illnesses and/or injury; to determine a clinical diagnosis, treatment and appropriate discharge as indicated as well as maintaining patient records.
  • The trainee ACP will be expected to demonstrate all four pillars of practice, being involved in and leading upon leadership activities that enable a rich culture of education, research and quality evidence-based practice.

Working for our organisation
