An opportunity has arisen for Full time –Permanent Band 5 Registered Nurse on ward 10, Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Ward 10 is a 24 bedded dual speciality ward. Specialising in Diabetes and Endocrinology and Respiratory Medicine. The Ward provides care for 8 respiratory patients with a variety of conditions including oxygen management, COPD and home ventilation therapy. It also has 16 diabetic specialist beds where we provide care for patients including DKA, VRII, long term antibiotic therapy and complex wound management.
To ensure excellent patient care , we have great support from the wider multi disciplinary team, including orthopaedics, vascular, podiatry, tissue viability , therapies and specialist nurses including respiratory, oxygen and diabetic nurses, so lots of training opportunities to be had.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Nurse who has experience of healthcare and is keen to assist in developing the service for the future. This is a demanding role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change. You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
This is an exciting opportunity to support patients, some with complex needs during their stay in hospital. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate care and compassion in providing support and care for patients.
The post holder is responsible for assessment, planning , implementation and evaluation of evidence based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families
