Male Acute Ward:

The Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager post requires the candidate to be committed and be able to rise to the challenges of the role.

Motivated to  succeed in  your personal development and supporting the professional goals of the team. 

Service user focussed and willing to work as part of the ward team, involved and supporting team decision making and providing exemplary care to those we work with to support recovery. 

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse, with experience in leading and managing teams  and looking for a supportive and dynamic place to work at?

Then Ward 1  ward could be the place for you.

Ward 1 provides care for people (Adult Males of Working Age ) who are experiencing a range of acute mental illness crisis/distress of such severity that it cannot be managed safely at home or in a respite facility.

Applicants must be Registered Mental Health Nurses able to work in a challenging, dynamic and recovery focused environment.

You will need to demonstrate a range of skills including the following

Effective leadership

Crisis management

Discharge planning and coordination

Staff supervision and appraisals,

Rota management ,  

Effective communication, empathy, self-awareness, compassion and critical self-reflection

Clinical skills which reflect your understanding of the Mental Health Act and the frameworks governing our service.
