An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Leader in our busy Emergency theatres, within the Main theatres in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

These theatres run 24hrs a day 7 days a week and we are looking for an experienced scrub practitioner to manage the running of the theatres and the staff working in them.

If you are looking for a challenge and you wish to join a friendly multidisciplinary team then this post may be right for you.

This hospital provides services to a vast range of specialities ranging from general surgery, cardiac and neurological services. We have 15 operating theatres in the main suite including Trauma and The Emergency Surgery.

Applicants should have relevant scrub experience with a wide range of skills which will be needed to lead and support this team of staff.

For the above post leadership skills are essential and applicants should have undertaken a certificate in management or working towards a formal management qualification.

Evidence of ongoing professional development is essential because as a clinical leader you will be developing the team professionally.

To get our work life balance right we work a three / four day week which will give you plenty of time to explore the city and its surrounding areas. Walking and cycling in the welsh mountains are both very popular pastimes, or you may wish to surf along the fabulous coastlines.
