Job overview
The East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust is looking for a dynamic, flexible and conscientious person to join the team in Ipswich East.
As a Generic worker you will support the wider team in providing a high standard of care for our patients. This includes actively planning our patients discharges, inline with their rehabilitation goals, whilst assisting and promoting independence with activities of daily living.
You will work alongside the nursing and therapy team completing delegated tasks from registered practitioners. Carrying out routine elements of assessment, working to care plans, carrying out delegated care/therapy interventions.
Main duties of the job
- To contribute to the rehabilitation needs of identified stroke patients under the direction of the multidisciplinary team in the Stroke Unit.
- To follow individual patient treatment plans, identified in the Integrated Care Pathway, aiming to achieve rehabilitation goals and maximum levels of independence.
- To contribute to the needs of patients identified within the Rapid Assessment.
- Unit under the direction of the Ward Sister/Stroke Specialist Nurse.
- Support and assist Trainee HCA’s - working through Stroke competency frameworks.

- QCF Care Certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience, or working towards an Apprenticeship

- NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
