Pilgrim Hospital has a requirement for Band 5 Nurses to care for patients requiring Level 1 care in a small ward area associated with the Intensive Care Unit. This innovative patient care pathway supports patients immediately after major colorectal surgery until they are ready to be nursed on the colorectal ward, usually 24 hours later.
The area is staffed from Tuesday through to Friday afternoon and both day and night shifts are available. Incumbents will be expected to work in close liaison with Intensive Care colleagues.
This is a highly desirable opportunity for a nurse to demonstrate their ability to care for level 1 patients, to work closely with surgical and specialist nursing colleagues and to make a very significant positive impact for our patients and their families.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
