Acute Medical Unit (Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)- Acute Admissions Unit (AAU)

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is a new organisation formed following the merger of Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Greenwich in October 2013.

An opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Registered Nurse Post and we e are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking; self-motivated individuals to join our SDEC/AAU senior nursing team.

The successful candidates will have responsibility for providing  a high standard of patient focused individualised nursing care, maintained at the highest level as well as working collaboratively with members of the multi-disciplinary team.   To deliver a high standard of patient focused individualised nursing care and will be able to motivate and effectively lead the ward team in delivering high quality care to our patients.

In addition to this, our collective and amazing multidisciplinary team work will greatly affect the lives of all patients under our care ensuring that patient’s length of stay is reduced, and services in the community are maximized for support.

There is also the guidance and support from a Clinical Practice Development Nurse whom will provide individualised support in clinical practice/skills for all new nurses to the trust and directing all learning and development needs in agreed plans ensuring needs are met in a timely fashion.
