The role is a specialist role, and its focus is upon the clinical benefit, safety and effectiveness of the technologies deployed to and used by NHFT clinical services.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will use their specialist clinical knowledge and experience to
- Support the introduction and use of digital technologies to the benefit of patients, carers, and staff supporting the clinical teams in the new ways of working ensuring they can adopt the new solutions.
- Continually develop and optimise the electronic healthcare record.
- Work in conjunction with colleagues and clinicians to identify clinical risks in the deployment and use of health technologies and recommend ways to manage and/or mitigate those risks.
The post holder is required to hold a current registration to practice with the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council), HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) or other appropriate professional body.

Working for our organisation
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
NHFT promotes a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff, which focuses on people who enable our Trust to be ‘outstanding’ by supporting opportunity, innovation, development and growth.
