Job overview

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. Interviews

If you are shortlisted for an interview for this role, you must bring evidence of the following qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.

If you hold overseas GCSE equivalent qualifications, you will need to bring an ECCTIS comparability statement for you GCSE equivalent qualifications along with your original certificate

  • A Full Care Certificate OR NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (we can only accept NVQ’s from a regulated awarding body).

If you do not bring the above qualifications to your interview, then the interview will not proceed.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Support workers to join our dynamic and friendly teams and provide safe and supportive care to patients, relatives and their loved ones. In this post you would be responsible for providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the qualified nursing team to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dignified and respectful care, in accordance with their care plans.  We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.

The successful applicants will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital. As provision of care is in an outpatient setting,  you will be required to 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GSCE level 4/C or Level 2 equivalent, including Maths and English (ECCTIS is required for overseas qualifications)
  • Hold a full Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (NVQ MUST be from an accredited awarding body).

Experience

  • 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent
