Staff Nurse - Interventional Radiology
NHS AfC: Band 5
Job overview
Do you often wonder what happens to patients in Diagnostic Imaging (Interventional Radiology Suite) and who looks after their care and welfare whilst in the department?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 5 nurse to join our highly skilled and motivated team in providing excellent care, whilst caring for patients undergoing interventional procedures and recovering within the department.
The unique and varied nature of the speciality means there is always something new and interesting to learn as new procedures are developed and undertaken. We provide high quality patient focused care to outpatients and inpatients. So if you are dynamic and motivated, have excellent communication skills, experience in an acute setting, and would like a new challenge then this is the team for you!
There are varied shifts worked with core hours between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. However work patterns may change in the future as the service requirements change.
The applicant is expected to be able to work across site within the Diagnostic Imaging Departments as necessary. Lead aprons are worn for several hours at a time for certain procedures, and there is a certain amount of manual handling of patients, beds and trolleys.
