What are we looking for? 

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join our AAU team, with a competitive salary range on offer up to £45,000 depending upon experience.

This is a Monday-Sunday, Days, Nights and Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

  • 6 week rota of 19 shifts
  • 08:00 – 20:30 and 20:00 – 08:30.
  • This role will involve overtime.

In the Acute Admissions Unit (AAU), we care for patients experiencing acute medical or surgical conditions. Our skilled nursing team works collaboratively to identify patient needs and plan effective interventions. Our goal is to provide patients a smooth journey to recovery and positive patient experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of patients requiring triage, acute assessment and admission under indirect supervision from senior staff.

 

What will your duties include? 

  • Provides direct nursing care to patients presenting at the Acute Admissions Unit care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of CCL.
  • Is able to triage, prioritise nursing care, recognise deterioration in patient’s condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately
  • Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
  • Leads the nursing team in the delivery of patient care collaborating with other disciplines to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes

 

What we need from you? 

  • NMC registered adult Nurse
  • Must be willing to undertake relevant post-registration courses
  • Demonstrable clinical experience and expertise caring for patients who are acutely unwell
  • Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field
  • Completed High Dependency, acute assessment course or equivalent desirable
