We are excited to announce that we are in a position to offer two 12 month Secondment or Fixed Term Senior Nurse Practitioner positions across our two acute inpatient wards in Halton. 

Halton Inpatient Services are based at the Brooker Centre at Halton General Hospital. The Adult Inpatient Service at Halton comprises of 2 acute admission wards: Bridge Ward for our male service users and Weaver Ward for our female service users.

Both teams have recently won Trust Team of the Month and now is a really exciting time for a motivated practitioner to join our team. As an inpatient service we are always looking for new ways to grow and develop and recently both wards have introduced the following care pathways to improve our service delivery and patient experience; A Substance Misuse Pathway (Bridge Ward) and the Self Injury Pathway (Weaver Ward). 

We are looking for a committed and compassionate person who shows the values of our Trust and is committed to clinically leading the nursing teams to support people at their most vulnerable time whilst ensuring high standards of patient care at all times.

The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users and their carers and supports the Trust’s values and behaviours.

The successful candidates will be:

  • A qualified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with ward experience.

  • A strong communicator and listener with excellent leadership skills

This post is subject to a an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.  Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
