Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3, part time Healthcare Assistant in our multi speciality outpatient department to join our friendly team in Community Outpatients, this post will be based at Ilkeston Community Hospital, with a requirement to work at our other sites, Ripley, Heanor, Long Eaton & Ashbourne, if and when required.
As this vacancy is part time, 22.5 hours, we will not be able to offer sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be flexible and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team involving a large number of specialities.
Previous outpatient experience would be desirable though not essential as we have a full induction programme.
The successful candidate will be required to show high levels of concentration and organisational skills along with excellent communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient running of clinics.
It is expected that the applicant will be rostered to work cross sites, so it is essential you possess a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Evidence of either GCSE A-D or Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English or equivalent qualification
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or relevant experience acquired through undertaking of clinical skills
Desirable criteria
- Care Certificate standard training
Experience
Essential criteria
- A minimum of 6 months recent paid experience working in a care environment within the UK
- Understands the role of a Healthcare Support Worker and can evidence this in the application form
- Standard key board skills
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of previous experience of working in a acute setting
