COVID-19 Vacancy Band 5 Staff Nurse - Winter Pressures

Band 5

Our trust has around 10,000 staff serving 1.6 million patients. It comprises Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital and more than 30 services in the community.  This larger scale organisation provides an unprecedented opportunity for us to continue our pioneering work, particularly in finding ways to deliver even better care to our patients.

Our mission is to deliver world class care and expertise in our clinical services, underpinned by world class teaching and research and we will continue to measure our progress against our five governing objectives: excellent outcomes, excellent patient and staff experience, excellent value for taxpayers’ money, being safe and meeting our external duties, and building a strong organisation.

Everyone is welcome at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. We're proud of our diversity and we continue to undertake new initiatives to advance equality for LGBT+, BME, gender equality, staff carers and people with disabilities and lived experiences to promote good relations and understanding between our staff.

Do you have passion for acute medicine and enjoy fast pace environments? Do you enjoy making a difference to patients’ lives and providing high quality compassion care? If so, then the Royal Free Medicine and Urgent Care division may have the opportunity you are looking for!

We are about to expand our services and open up an acute medicine ward to work alongside our medical wards across the division and support our winter pressure planning. The aim of these areas is to receive admissions for patients who have gone through our pathways and require ongoing or further specialist care.

The Acute Medicine Team are passionate about developing and delivering a world class care service. Successful candidates will have the opportunity after the winter period to rotate to our other medical specialties across the division such as respiratory, MAU, Neurology/Stroke and older persons nursing.

Therefore this would be an ideal time for you to come on board and develop your acute nursing skills by working with our experienced, skilled and knowledgeable team. You will be supported to develop your skills to care for a wide variety of medical patients in their care journey.

We have vacancies for band 5 nurses who value team working, enthusiastic and have the desire and drive to ensure patients will receive the right care at the right time from staff that are compassionate and caring. In return, we can offer the right development and support by the multi-disciplinary team, clinical practice educators and a strong education ethos.
