An exciting opportunity has arisen for a research nurse to work within the Research and Development Department within Swansea Bay University Health Board. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic nurse who works well as part of team, is organised and has a flexible approach to work.

The successful candidate will have excellent computer skills, the ability to establish and maintain appropriate documentation and record keeping, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritise workload and excellent attention to detail. Willingness to participate in training is essential.

The successful candidate will:
-Identify, engage and recruit patients for research projects
-Provide information and support for those involved in research projects -Co-ordinate project recruitment and maintain databases of patient contacts and research data in accordance with the relevant research protocols
-Educate and inform other health professionals, patients and the public about research
-Be responsible for ensuring patients’ treatments, assessments, follow- up and data collection are delivered according to the relevant research protocols

Applications are invited from registered nurses (adult) who should note that applicants would be expected to work across all sites within Swansea Bay University Health Board. Base to be discussed at interview.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
